Hi everyone,
An email (Evite) will be coming to your email soon from John (JB) Borton and Tana Whittenburg about the Christmas Potluck next week. Please reply to it so we know how many people are coming and what dishes you are bringing. Please bring serving utensils for your dish; the Pack will provide paper plates, utensils, and cups, as well as a couple of hams and at least one turkey.
The potluck will begin at 6:30 pm.
Have a super week!

Caroling
Hi Cubs and Parents,
Please mark you calendars for December 19th at 10 am. Our pack will be Christmas Caroling at Fairlawn Health Center, 3457 NE Division St., Gresham. We will meet in the Health Center lobby. The Health Center is the large one story yellow building. It will be a great opportunity to bring some holiday cheer to elderly people in our community. (We will probably be done caroling by 10:30 am or so.)
Thanks
Cynthia Jacobsen

Just a quick reminder that this Saturday, Dec 5, is SFF. We will meet at Sweetbriar School at 8:30 am and divide into groups to collect food in the neighborhood. The forecast (as of yesterday) was for clear and COLD. Please dress warmly! Boys need to have their Scout hats on, but bundle up everything else! Gloves or mittens are a really important. We will have hot chocolate back at the school when we are done.
I know of one trailer that will be available to take food to St Henry's Church (that will probably be enough). We do need bigger vehicles to carry boys and collect food in the neighborhood.
I have 300 Scouting for Food bags ~ lets see if we can fill them all!
Have a fantastic week. I'll see you on Saturday.

Just a reminder to invite your family, friends, and neighbors to join us at Applebees in Gresham on Saturday morning for a $5 all you can eat pancake breakfast. Each boy participating will have a 50% of the proceeds placed in his camp account (the other 50% will go to the general Pack account). Last year, Applebees gave us the entire $5 ticket price back -- that means each boy received $2.50 per ticket he or his family sold. Once again, tickets can be purchased at the door for "walk-ins".
Tickets will be given out on Monday (14th) at the Den Meeting. I will not be there (Jamboree meeting night); Lynnette Mattice will be handling tickets and shift sign-ups. We will need greeters and waiters.
This is a very quick and easy (and delicious!) fundraiser. Please gather as many people as you can to support our boys.
Webelos ~ if you are going to Baldwin, please come to the fundraiser packed and ready to go.

Pack 177 important dates
Hi everyone ~ I cannot believe our summer is almost come to an end. My family has one more vacation next week and then it is almost back-to-school time...wow!
Here are some dates I hope you mark on your calendars:
August 25th ~ Popcorn training: Please contact Angi Nicholas (angi96@msn.com) if you are able to help her with our Popcorn Fundraiser this year. She is taking on the role of chairperson for our entire district and would likely be VERY grateful for help within our own Pack.
September 2nd ~ Back to School Night at Sweetbriar: I have fliers & a poster board for our Pack. I need someone to be at the school this evening to answer questions and help recruit new members to our Pack. I may be available for part of the evening, but not all. ALSO ~ if your child does not attend Sweetbriar and you know when his school is having their Open House or Back to School Night, please see me for fliers.
September 4th ~ Pack Overnighter / Movie Night / Pancake Breakfast @ Glenn Otto Park: We have rented the Sam Cox Building for an indoor movie night complete with popcorn and sleeping in the place we usually have our meetings. This event is open for the entire family. On Saturday morning we will cook a pancake breakfast before heading home.
September 14th ~ Den Meeting: 7 pm @ Glenn Otto Park
September 19th ~ Applebee's fundraiser, 9 am - 11 am. More information to follow.
September 19th ~ Webelos & Bears are invited to camp with Troop 174 at Camp Baldwin for one night. There will be an opportunity to work on Webelos requirements and some Boy Scout skills, as well as get to know members of a Troop you might be interested in joining. You will need a tent, adults to camp with you, food to cook (and stove / mess kits etc), and your Class A uniform. See Jerilee for more details.
September 21st ~ Den Meeting: 7 pm @ Glenn Otto Park
September 28th ~ Join Night, 6:30 pm, Glenn Otto Park: Instead of having a Pack Meeting, we will be having an Open House / Join Night for our meeting. Please invite your friends!

Troutdale SummerFest 2009
Hi everyone,
This is our packs first blog.
Today Pack 177 (those of us not at camp) met in downtown Troutdale for the Summerfest Parade.
Some of our boys along with Troop 174, led the parade. Carrying the summerfest banner, & the colors.
what a wonderful day!!!
We created a Facebook account for those of us that are internet junkies and want to get lots of info in one place. One of the biggest reasons for creating the account though is for the photo album capabilities. We will be able to create album's of each of our activities here and share information and discussion with each other.
